Adventure Medical Kits
The Adventure Medical Ultra Light .9 kit offers piece of mind when you are in the backcountry at a great price. To sweeten the deal it is adventure proof (lightweight and waterproof).
Now this kit might not have everything you could ever possibly need but for me it is a good basic setup. The hard to miss yellow bag includes: various size bandages including band aids, gauze, gloves, a trauma pad, Moleskin (for blisters), small roll of duct tape, an elastic bandage with Velcro, safety pins, tweezers, a few key medications, assorted ointments and wipes, small roll of medical tape, syringe for wound irrigation, wound closure strips and cotton tip applicators.
This is a good gathering of essentials for motorcycle trips or other outdoor activities. Obviously you are going to augment and supplement according to the type of adventure you are embarking on. If this is not the level of protection you are looking for Adventure Medical offers kits ranging from smaller than the .9 up to expedition and professional guide size kits.
I have found that medical kits are similar to tool kits in that everyone has different feelings on what should be included but what is nice about the .9 kit is that it is a good starting point. The watertight bags have enough room in them so you can add extra supplies as you see fit.
To me the selection of supplies seem well thought out and the packaging is heavy duty and able to sustain some abuse. My personal .9 has accompanied me all over the country in many different situations and it has yet to let me down.
I replenish the contents as they get used and other than that it gives me a sense of security to forget about it. The .9 is a great product that I highly recommend. MSRP: $36.00 AdventureMedicalKits.com
