National Park Service to Implement Speed Cameras on D.C. Area Roads
The National Park Service, National Capital Region has issued a proposed rule to establish use and procedures for photo radar speed enforcement in park areas administered by the National Capital Region of the National Park Service. This rule affects all park roads in the region including the George Washington Memorial Parkway, Rock Creek Parkway, Baltimore-Washington Parkway, and Suitland Parkway. Regular Speed Trap in Arlington - Glebe Road
A speed trap has been in effect on and off for the past six months at the northern end of Glebe road in Arlington. The location is just prior to the intersection with Chain Bridge and Chain Bridge Road (Rt. 123) on the northbound lanes. Glebe Road takes a blind curve to the right at this spot and the speed trap is located on the right side of the road just beyond the blind curve. Oncoming traffic cannot see this speed trap, so do not rely on light flashes. Motorcyclists should be especially wary here as it is an enticing curve on which to speed.
